Mum's The Word Classes

If you want to make your own mum, but don't have the supplies or know how to make a mum, host a mum party. Mum's the Word will come to your home and teach the class. All you need to do is get other people to attend. We need a minimum of 6 people to hold a class.

The program works much like Pampered chef or Tupperware parties. The host/hostess invites people to attend the class. The host/hostess will receive a credit worth 20% of what the participants spend. So if the average person spends $40. on supplies to make a mum, the Hostess would get $8.00 per person off of their mum.

The class needs to be set up at least one week in advance to ensure that we have proper staffing. You will need to provide us with the school, school colors and select Trinket packet you wish to have for your party.

The classes last about two hours. In addition to the materials to purchase, we provide the class with the hot glue guns/glue, Staplers & staples and instructional know how.

If you already know how to make a mum but want to learn how to make your own braids, take the advanced class. This class provides enough ribbon to make a military braid and a Loop braid. If you want to make a different braid, you may purchase more ribbon to make any of the following:

Box Braid
Spiral Braid
love Chain
Diamond Back

We can do classes on Wednesday nights, Saturday day or afternoons, Sunday afternoons or during any morning (9:00 - 11:30)

If you cannot host a party and want a personalized class just for you, we can do that but the price for the class is $20.00 per hour.
